Bladen County Contacts

Bladen County Released Inmates is a private reference, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, free anyone, post bond, retrieve an official booking record, or answer for an agency. Contact the office that holds the needed record.

Official Records and Custody Contacts

The right contact depends on where the custody event occurred. The Bladen County Sheriff handles local jail booking and release records. The Clerk holds the county court file. NCDAC maintains state prison and community-supervision records, while NC SAVAN supplies automated custody and supervision notifications. Use the details below to avoid sending a request to an office that does not hold it.

Bladen County Sheriff and Detention Center

Bladen County Sheriff’s Office / Detention Center
299 Smith Circle
Elizabethtown, NC 28337
Main office: (910) 862-6960
Detention Center: (910) 862-6971
Fax: (910) 862-6949
Email: sheriff@bladenco.org
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; closed weekends and holidays

Use the official Sheriff contact page for a named local booking or release episode. Ask for the existing booking-and-release record, release date and time, authority or disposition, and receiving agency if transferred. The Sheriff has not published a special records form, fixed local fee schedule, or guaranteed response time, so ask about cost and electronic format before fulfillment.

Bladen County Clerk of Court

Bladen County Courthouse / Clerk of Superior Court
166 E. Broad Street
Mailing: PO Box 2619
Elizabethtown, NC 28337
Phone: (910) 872-7200
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Clerk is the local source for a judgment, commitment, bond order, release order, or dismissal. The online court portal can help identify a case, but a clerk-issued copy is the official document when that distinction matters. A court disposition explains the legal result and may not show the exact moment jail staff completed an exit.

North Carolina Adult Correction

North Carolina Department of Adult Correction
214 West Jones Street
Raleigh, NC 27603
Main office: (919) 733-2126

Use the NCDAC public-records route for state prison or community-supervision information. Include the offender number when known and name the specific public fields sought. NCDAC can address state conviction, time-served, sentence, admission, and release-date information, but it does not keep Bladen County jail records.

Parole Commission

N.C. Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission
2020 Yonkers Road
4222 Mail Service Center
Raleigh, NC 27699-4222
Phone: (919) 716-3010
Email: Parole.Commission@dac.nc.gov

The Commission handles parole and post-release supervision matters within its authority. It is not the custodian of a local Bladen booking record. For an active community-supervision office, use NCDAC’s official field-office directory rather than inferring an office from a jail release.

NC SAVAN and Victim Support

NC SAVAN automated line
Phone: 1-877-627-2826
Availability: 24-hour automated status search and notification registration
NCDAC Victim Support Services
Phone: 1-866-719-0108
Email: svc_dac_victimservices@dac.nc.gov
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

NC SAVAN can provide an automated custody or supervision status and accept notification registrations. A reported release event ends the displayed episode but may represent a transfer. Confirm the reporting agency and search for a receiving record when another custodian may be involved.

Common questions route as follows:

  • For a released person or local release record, begin with the home search and records path, then request the source entry from the Sheriff.
  • For parole, probation, or post-release supervision, use Post-Release Supervision and the NCDAC or Commission contact that matches the status.
  • For a same-day custody change, use 24-Hour Releases; Bladen County has no official published 24-hour feed.
  • For a projected state release date or an alert, use Release Date Lookup and the VINE Inmate Check.
  • For local facility details, use the Bladen County Detention Center page listed in the footer.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the NCDAC offender locator and public-records channel, not the Bladen jail line.
  • For federal imprisonment or immigration detention, use the official Bureau of Prisons or ICE locator and the responsible federal office.
