Queries Sent to Search Providers
A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The provider needs the query to return its results and may handle it under its own privacy policy. Bladen County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. Using the tool therefore creates a direct data exchange with the provider, not a request to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, Bladen County Detention Center, or North Carolina Department of Adult Correction.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or submit a contact message, we retain the message, the contact details you include, and related correspondence long enough to review and answer it. We do not share that material outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law, court order, or another valid legal demand. Please avoid sending sensitive personal records that are not needed for the question.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary web systems create technical records each time a page loads. Those records help deliver pages, measure performance, protect the service, and diagnose faults. Depending on the device and service involved, the information may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- The pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
- The referring website or source, when available

Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, the Bladen County Detention Center, North Carolina court and corrections portals, federal custody systems, legal resources, or third-party search tools. After you follow an outside link, that destination’s privacy notice and data practices govern. We do not control its forms, records, cookies, retention rules, security, or availability.
Advertising partners may use their own cookies or similar technology to recognize activity across websites and tailor ads. That processing occurs on the partner’s systems under its policy, not within records controlled by Bladen County Released Inmates. Browser privacy controls and the partner’s opt-out tools may limit some of that activity.

We do not sell personal information. Data may still reach a limited set of service providers or authorities when needed for the functions described in this notice:
- Search partners that receive and process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and page performance

We use common administrative and technical practices intended to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and loss. Security is a best-effort process. No website, internet transmission, connected provider, or storage system can be guaranteed breach-proof or fully secure. Visitors should use care when deciding what information to send online.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent, guardian, or affected person believes a minor submitted personal information, please use the Contacts page to request review and deletion of the material.

These requests apply only to data we control. A sheriff, court, NCDAC, VINE, federal agency, search provider, analytics service, or ad network handles its own records and requests. North Carolina government records may also be governed by Chapter 132 and other public-record or confidentiality laws, which this privacy process does not alter.

We may revise this Privacy Notice as services, legal duties, or data practices change. The updated language will be posted on this page and will show a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised practices apply from that posted date.
